Yes, Lipstick Blonde has red leaf stems beneath its yellow leaves.
Lipstick Blonde stays compact, between small and medium. Give each plant 30–50 cm in the ground, or a pot of its own.
Partial shade, ideally where it catches a little morning sun to keep the yellow bright. A pot, a path edge or a border front shows off the red stems.
Care & seasons
Hostas need about 4 cm of water a week in summer, roughly 40 litres per square metre including rain. Water deeply at the base of the plant, preferably in the morning, whenever the top few centimetres of soil are dry. New plants, hostas under trees and hostas in pots need checking most often; a mulch keeps the soil moist for longer.

Planting
Hostas grow best in moist, well-drained soil rich in organic matter. Dig plenty of compost or well-rotted manure into the whole bed before planting: it helps clay drain and sandy soil hold water. Avoid ground that stays waterlogged, mulch every spring and feed lightly, because good soil matters more than fertiliser.

Planting
Yes, hostas grow very well in pots. Choose a frost-proof container with drainage holes, fill it with free-draining compost, and water whenever the surface feels dry. Feed through spring and early summer, check under the rim for slugs, and leave the pot outdoors in winter, because hostas need a cold rest to grow well the next year.
