The leaves of Lemon Feathers emerge white, then turn a light yellow. Bred in the Netherlands and new to our range, this medium-sized hosta changes colour as the season goes on, a quiet show for a shady bed.

Plant it where you pass often in spring, so you can follow the change from white to yellow, for example by a path you use daily or in a large pot near the house. Several together form a pale ground cover. More light-coloured leaves are in our yellow and gold hostas, and other recent additions in our new hosta varieties.

Planting and care

  • Space Lemon Feathers about 50 cm apart in humus-rich ground.
  • A place with morning sun and shade in the afternoon suits the light yellow leaves.

  • Slugs and snails target the young shoots, so check Lemon Feathers on spring evenings.
