An extra-large sport of Hosta 'Victory', Final Victory grows into a giant hosta with green leaves and yellow margins. The pale rim traces every leaf, so even a big clump keeps a clear outline in shade.

It can stand alone as a specimen with space on every side, or rise at the back of a border behind lower shade plants, where its size and yellow-rimmed leaves draw the eye. Other varieties that need this much room are in our large and giant hostas.

Planting and care

  • Reserve about 100 cm between plants: a mature Final Victory needs every bit of that width.
  • Prepare a planting hole about double the width of the roots, enrich it with compost and keep the crown at soil level.
  • In dry spells, give the giant clump a deep watering at its base, then mulch the bed to hold the moisture.
  • Slugs and snails go for the shoots of Final Victory as they push through in spring; look them over after rain.

Our hosta planting guide covers every step, from soil to winter.

Covered by our 100% growing guarantee: if a plant does not grow although you followed our care advice, we replace or refund it.
